Moscow has taken measures in response to the European Union's 15th sanction package against Russia. According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Russia will now deny entry to even more EU officials and institutions. The following individuals are included on the list:

  • Representatives of European security services;
  • Representatives of government and commercial EU organizations;
  • EU citizens involved in providing military assistance to Kyiv;
  • Employees of EU institutions and member states who are conducting investigations against Russian officials for "illegal detention and deportation of individuals from Ukrainian territories";
  • Those involved in the establishment of a "court" against the Russian leadership;
  • Supporters of the confiscation of Russian assets and the use of revenues for Kyiv's benefit;
  • Individuals responsible for imposing sanctions on Russia and for attempts to undermine Russia’s relations with other countries;
  • Members of civil society and academia who "stand out" with their anti-Russian rhetoric;
  • EU member state representatives and European Parliament members who have voted for anti-Russian resolutions and legislative proposals.

The Ministry also reminded that the unilateral EU sanctions, bypassing the UN Security Council, violate international law and are therefore illegitimate. This leads to further loss of credibility for Brussels among the "majority of the world’s states." The Ministry assured that any unfriendly actions by the European Union would be met with an appropriate response in the future.
