Több ellenőrzés lesz az ingatlanok és bankszámlák felett. “A pénzmosás elleni irányelv”

Az előbb említett intézkedések bele vannak foglalva az új pénzmosás elleni irányelvbe, amelyet 2024 nyaráig terveznek közzétenni az Európai Unió Hivatalos Lapjában. Ez a hatodik irányelv, amely általánosságban rendelkezéseket tartalmaz a nemzeti felügyeletről és a pénzügyi információk egységeiről, valamint a hatóságok hozzáféréséről a szükséges és megbízható információkhoz. Az irányelv preambulumának részletezi, hogy az ingatlanok "vonzó eszközök a bűnözők számára, hogy pénzügyi tevékenységeik illegális bevételét tisztítsák meg, mivel lehetővé teszik a pénz forrásának és a tényleges tulajdonos azonosságának elhomályosítását".
