Pal Arady: UNCLE TRUMP'S MASK HAS FALLEN: HE SUPPORTS APARTHEID!

Donald Trump, the former and future President of the USA, posted a message on his social media threatening Hamas, stating that if the Israeli hostages captured during the October attack last year are not freed by January 20, 2025, then: “They will have to pay a hellish price for committing atrocities against humanity. Those responsible will face a harder blow than ever before in the long and storied history of the United States.”

More than seven million Palestinians and seven million Israelis live in areas under Israeli control that are theoretically Palestinian territories. As long as the former have less freedom than the latter, violence between the groups will only escalate. This is simply because the existing apartheid policy and state, implemented by Israel, systematically deprives and oppresses Palestinians of their rights.

Despite Trump’s threats, there is no military solution to this conflict. The only way to establish lasting peace is to ensure full political, cultural, and human rights for both peoples – potentially with the involvement of the United Nations. Even military intervention may be justified, as the fascist, Nazi-like, and anti-human nature of the Israeli state alone warrants such action by the participating nations.

Trump's threats are hypocritical in this context. He ties avoiding a military strike on Hamas to the release of a few hostages, while supporting Israel's fascist apartheid – just as his predecessors did with South Africa's apartheid regime.
However, just as South African apartheid ceased to exist, Israeli apartheid is also doomed. The current genocide is essentially its death throes.

The essence is that with this threat, Trump has essentially dropped the mask of the Great Humanitarian Peacemaker and revealed his true neo-fascist face to the world. Smirking, he openly endorsed the legitimacy of the Israeli apartheid, which commits crimes against humanity every minute.

This is not justified by traditional pro-Israel sentiments. Especially because, under this banner, the USA has supported Israel for decades, regardless of the fact that Israel continues to trample on international agreements and human rights, while seizing more land and resources from Palestinian-controlled territories. In the process, an increasing number of innocent civilians fall victim to Israeli violence.

In the current war, which began last October, Hamas took hostages in hopes of exchanging them for Palestinian leaders who are also held hostage by Israel. One example is Marwan Barghouti, one of the most prominent officials of the Palestine Liberation Organization, who is currently serving multiple life sentences in Israeli prisons for his involvement in the Second Intifada between 2000 and 2002. Due to his commitment to Palestine's independence, he is extremely popular among all Palestinian factions. However, he also supports a peaceful solution with Israel, making him the only leader who possesses both the resolve and the momentum needed to facilitate an agreement. Therefore, it is essential for Israel to release him from prison for peace negotiations and long-term agreements.

But the apartheid, cloaked in a nationalistic mantle, refuses to hear of this, so the exchange is not even being considered. Israel, learning from its political defeat against the PLO, does not want to give free media publicity to any freedom-fighting Palestinian leaders, knowing that apartheid will obviously be the victim. Therefore, neither Barghouti nor anyone else will be allowed to leave the desert prison – they remain hostages.

Not least, Trump should reconsider his threatening outburst, as there have been several UN proceedings against Israeli apartheid (and are ongoing), in which UN officials clearly state, based on their extensive investigations, that Israel has committed genocide. These are crimes for which Trump is threatening with a terrible blow. However, Israel is the perpetrator, not Hamas!

So, if Trump does not want to immediately discredit himself with the accusation of double standards in international diplomatic circles, he must strike a significant blow against apartheid as well... Otherwise, during his first "peace-making" visit to the Kremlin after his inauguration, he will be laughed at. And from that point on, no one will take the newly minted neo-fascist Great Western Leader seriously.
